Hunting Pigs In South West Florida

If you are looking for an exciting pig hunt or a way to put some great meat in the freezer, then Pig hunting could be for you. The species Sus Scrofa or wild hog is a growing problem here in the state of Florida as well as many other states in the South and is quickly spreading North. We are currently working on thinning these numbers thru depredation hunts, public lottery hunts as well as hunts on private  lands.

We typically see groups of 8-10 and sometimes 15-20. We shoot them at distances ranging from 30yds to 300yds and even have a friendly record of 825yds.

You can shoot them with shotguns, long rifle, bow and arrow, pistol or just about anything you think you can hit them with. I typically carry a 270 for the longer days and a 12ga with buckshot for those close up and friendly trips. If you have the desire to shoot them with an oddball caliber or see what a specific bullet will do to a pig, let me know. We can always harvest whats left and make sausage!

Anyway thanks for visiting and let us know if you would like to test your skills in this area.
