Looks like the news down under is just like the news over here, just a wee bit slanted? The Aussies have had an ongoing pig problem for years in the fact that there is so much land in the interior and everyone, for the most part, lives along the coasts. Room to roam, plenty of food sources and no active predators, beside the occasional saltwater crocodile, have allowed their pig population to explode.
I know a helicopter pilot that works mostly in the Northern territories and they let clients shoot them on the way to fishing spots just to help scratch the surface.
