Well the sun was up and the wind was at our backs on a wonderful Saturday morning. We had about 15 minutes before the feeder was supposed to go off and the scout pigs had come and gone, so were expecting 8-10 sows and piglets to come marching right in for their morning feed. Sounds great huh? then I hear it, off in the distance the sound of a huey helicopter coming in our direction. The Stones immediately started playing in my head and I hoped that they wouldn’t fly right over and spook anyone or anything. Sure enough here he comes and does a fly over maybe 75 or 100 feet off the deck and then circles around and comes right back over our blinds, at least he didn’t kick on the sprayers when he passed us. I don’t really need a third eye or extra pinky finger.
Well so much for the pigs coming in to feed on time so we waited another hour or so and then said screw it, as these pigs are skittish. So now I get to find the helicopter folks and see if they will take me up not only for some recon, but maybe interest them in an air assault. Paint it Black on the PA system and a 20 round drum in the Saiga 12ga. Could be fun!!!!
